2005 Mini Cooper VIBATING STEERING

2005 Mini Cooper 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 21160 miles
hi, I have just bought a 2005 cooper convertible and noticed when going above 50 mph the steering wheel and accelerator pedal vibrate uncomfortably. It is not so noticeable if the car is going down hill and coasting but more so when you're accelerating. Any ideas ?
