My 79 mbg died in traffic, could not restart. It has been converted to twin SU's with Allison elec. Ign. It quit running while at a stop. The fuel pump is operating, All exterior lights are working except the turn signals and cigar lighter. I can t urn the engine over but does appear to be getting any ignition. I checked all the fuses, none blown. I checked power to the turn signals, the sws is getting power. The ignition sws is getting power. Thanks for any help.

There are two relays that should be on the right fenderwell. One is an ignition relay and the other is a START relay. I think it is the one closest to the firewall. That controls power going to the starter. The other relay controls the power going to the ignition. IF these are stock they should be round and black. There is a good book on these cars for electrical systems. It is done by Rick Astley and is available at moss motors and amazon. It covers all areas of the car. Alot of these cars have poor fuse boxes as well. That is covered how to fix it in the book.
