1997 Mercury Tracer serpentine belt shreded while running,
Engine Performance problem
1997 Mercury Tracer 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 200000 miles
The serpentine belt shredded while driving (it was old I guess). I replaced it and now the car won't start. It cranks and there is spark and fuel. The crankshaft position sensor was changed and there was a diagnostic run at the mechanic shop with no trouble codes recorded. The plugs seem to be fouling out and getting fuel soaked.

If the plugs are getting wet, then either the spark is too weak or there is none at all. Recheck for damage to the wiring to the crank sensor. Also, recheck spark. Is it a hot blue snaping spark?
Let me know.
