1995 Mercury Tracer won't start

I've got a 1995 Mercury Tracer with 93,000 miles on it. I went to go start it two days ago, and it won't turn over at all, and the gear shift lever won't release from the Park position. I checked the lights and the headlights, brakelights and interior lights all work. When I turn the key, I hear nothing. When the key is in the Accessory position, and I turn on the radio or turn the blower on, that all works. I just can't seem to get it to turn over or anything. We've already tried cleaning the battery terminals, so I don't know what else it might be. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, I got my Tracer worked on and it turned out to be the ignition switch that was the problem and had to be replaced.
