1995 Mercury Tracer 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 110k miles

How do you remove the Ignition Key Cylinder? It is stripped down to steering column stem but there are two roll pins to secure the cylinder. The pins only go in or out in one direction. How can they be removed to pull key cylinder out for replacement?

Please help!

Thank you,

NOTE: Lock cylinder removal and installation procedure applies to functional and non-functional lock cylinder.

LOCK CYLINDER (FUNCTIONAL)
Removal & Installation
1. Remove steering wheel. Remove combination. Unplug ignition switch electrical connector. Remove shift lock cable mount bracket.

2. Remove steering column upper mount bolts. Lower steering column. Use cold chisel to make groove on heads of lock cylinder bolts. Remove and discard mount bolts. Remove lock cylinder and bracket. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten mounting bolts until heads break off.
