Engine won't start hot
Engine Performance problem
1990 Mercury Tracer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 95,000 miles
My 1990 Sable won't turn over after short trips and is worse in warm weather. It always happens after the engine is hot. I have to sit and wait awhile before it will start. I know it isn't ready to start if I don't hear the fuel pump engage. After sitting, it eventually starts. Is the fuel pump going? This has been an on going issue for 2 years. Btw, thanks to jgarofalo and rasmataz for info supplied in my earlier posts. While I haven't had a chance to get a new/used blend door motor unit yet, I was able to locate a used alternator at a local wrecking yard and now everything is peachy. (except for the engine issue, haha)
