Transmission light is on?

The transmission light have been on for three months but my transmission seems still working normal. Could it be potential serious problem with transmission?
Or what could it be?

Please let me know!

How do I know for sure that will not be transmission problem?

Hello,

There could be a number of reasons why the light is on.
The best course of action would be to scan and retrieve the transmission fault code(s).
This can help with the diagnostics of what might be the issue.

The transmission light can be scanned using a scan tool that is capable of retrieving transmission trouble codes.
