2001 Mercury Station Wagon Car runs in "limp home"
Engine Performance problem
2001 Mercury Station Wagon 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 80,800 miles
Could a faulty Cylinder Head Temperature sensor, or another sensor, cause the car to run in "limp home" mode or hesitantly when in drive and pulling out and would that cause the low coolant light to come on. The coolant level is normal.
The car was tuned up and the catalytic converters were plugged up and subsequently replaced. The EGR valve was replaced as well.
Thanks,
