I made a left turn and when I did I heard a loud bang from the drivers side rear wheel. The back of the car on that side is lower than the rest of the car. The wheel still looks straight (up and down) Any thoughts? By the way, It has 118,000 miles, auto, front wheel drive, 3.0 liter.

Check the coil spring, It sounds like it broke a piece off!

I jacked up the car and found that the sway bar broke. To soak the rusted sway bar bolt should I use WD-40 or M-1 machinist oil? I use M-1 at work to free up musical instrument slide tubes. (Brass) Also, should I use a torch to help the oil penetrate? Thanks for your reply!

I can't get the nut off of the old swaybar. I soaked it in WD-40. I used a pair of vise grips on the bar and a 13mm wrench on the bolt. The bar just spins between the jaws of the vice grips. I don't have an impact wrench or a torch. Can I use a dremel tool with a cut off wheel to free it? Also, what can I use to pull the long bar up to attach the new sway bar?
Thanks for all your help!
