1999 Mercury Sable Automatic 160, 00 miles

I have a '99 Sable, my heat went out, my brother has noticed that the tubes going into the heater core had worn through, can we replace the tubes (pipes) going into and out of the heater core without having to replace the heater core itself? I am sorry, I would donate, but I am unemployed and my unemployment has been held up for 3 weeks. I am so sorry

I would, but I don't even have 5.00 dollars to my name. I am so sorry. I will keep looking and asking. It is getting cold in Wisconsin and I cannot drive my car without defrost. Thanks anyways.
