My Sable is idling rough, at about 600 rpm. When I accelerate there is ususually a long hesitation before acceleration. At highway speeds I think there is an intermittent miss. Rapid acceleration usually causes engine to downshift and slow before the engine starts to rev.

I have an 02 sensor code, but have had this for over a year, and this problem began about a week ago. No other codes.
