1996 Other Mercury Models

Hi there,

I would be checking the oil galleries for a blockage checking hot oil pressure as well as the failure of the bearings will be due to lack of lubrication rather than a lean mixture, What fuel are you using if a blended racing mixture then I would also be checking the fuel system as this will cause over heating issues and in extremes may affect bearings if the oil system is not running a cooler and the oil temp is running to high.
