My 1995 Mercury Mystique 6 cylinder about 100,000 miles on it engine light is on. When I took it to get checked out it said check wires. My battery is not charging I had that checked too, and I was told that the alternator and battery was replaced not to long ago, I would assume for the same problem. I was going to try changing the alternator again but it is underneath the car and not easy to get to. If I have to I will but figuring that may not work anyway, wanting to know what the real problem might be.
