My battery light comes on even though the battery is brand new. The truck still cuts off

Hi:
It sounds like there may be a problem with the alt. Take the car to a nationally recognized parts store and have them check it. Also, ask them to scan the computer for trouble codes. Most of these stores will provide the service for free.
