2006 Mercury Marquis V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 126000 miles
Windshield wipers turn on intermittent while driving. Neither signal light nor wiper switch has been activated. Sometimes turning engine off solves problem, sometimes not. May happen several times per day or only every 2 - 3 days.

Its either the multifunction combination switch is shorting out internally completing the switch ground circuit when its not suppose to-or one of the following in the windshield wiper motor integrated components: wiper motor module, high and low speed relay and run/park sensor-
