2005 Mercury Marquis TURN SIGNALS

Computer problem
2005 Mercury Marquis V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 80,000 miles

THE RIGHT TURN SIGNALS BLINK AT 60 TIMES PER MINUTE. THE LEFT SIGNALS BLINK AT 150 TIMES PER MINUTE. REPLACING THE BULBS ON THE LEFT SIDE DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. I BELIEVE THERE IS A PROBLEM IN THE MODULE AS DOES THE DEALER BUT HE WANTS $511 FOR A NEW MODULE PLUS THE LABOR TO INSTALL.
IF I KNEW THE COMPONENT ON THE MODULE I COULD REPLACE IT MYSELF.

these modules / computers on vehicles are not serviceable, you can't replace parts of the unit, you must replace the entire module and have it reprogrammed to your specific vehicle.
