1996 Mercury Marquis check engine light
1996 Mercury Marquis V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 20205 miles
When starting after car had set for two days the check engine light started blinking. After shuting engine off and restarting the check engine light comes on full not blinking. Will it hurt to drive car a few miles to a repair shop or should it be towed? Engine seems to run fine. Have only let it run for a few minutes. All gages on inesterment panel are normal. Any ideas as to what may be wrong? The milage on this car are actual miles.

Yes, it will hurt the car to drive it with the light blinking. That's why it blinks. It means there is a misfire severe enough to damage the Catalytic Converter.
