1992 Mercury Marquis V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic
when i go about 60 to 70 mph. going up a hill transmisson try to change gears and it jumps between overdrive and lower gear. what is doing that

check that overdrive is off (button on the shift. It should be off. If it still dowes that, accelerate hard a few times through it and if it isnt trunning as smooth iot should clear it a bit. they have wonderful engine that withstand everything i've pushed it with. When you hit about 60, floor it till about 90 a few times. (assuming you have the clearance and there are no police nearby. This should help the problem. Just chnge the oil before you do this to be on the safe side
