Circuits causing battery discharge at
Electrical problem
1989 Mercury Marquis V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 75000 miles
Circuits controlled by fuse # 8 (15amp) allow battery to drain overnite. Using a simple test light in series with + side of battery a bright light occurs. When # 8 fuse is removed bright lite disappears although a dim lite is shown & removing each fuse one at a time does not put out dim light. According to manual , circuit protected by fuse #8 is courtesy lamps, clock, autolamp module, illuminated entry module, outside power mirrors. I checked all lites & they seem ok for the go off when doors are closed. HOW DO YOU CHECK MODULES & WHERE ARE THEY LOCATED?

glove box light? trunk light? courtesy light? how about vanity light in the visor? this is the stuff i find causing this problem, also radio wired incorrectly if it is a aftermarket radio. cigarette lighter element staying engaged a little bit? trunk light misadjusted causing light to come on with trunk shut?
