my daughters Mecury just started this problem a week ago, it sputters in idel and I pulled a OBD2 code P1131 off of the car this is telling me the car is
Lack of ho2s11 switches sensor indicates lean, I read wear this could be the MAF sensor dirty and I am looking at cleaning this with a electric cleaner, am I looking in the right place or what eals could it be

yes that is a good place to start. i had a cougar myself with the same problem, i actually replaced the maf sensor but it did fix the issue.
