1991 Mercury Comet FUEL PUMP
Engine Mechanical problem
1991 Mercury Comet 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 70000 miles
INEED TO FIND OUT IF THERE IS POWER GOING TO MY FUEL PUMP I WQAS TOLD TO TST THE WIRES GOING TO IT BEFORE THE GAS TANK BUT IM NOT FINDING WIRES. DO I NEED TO DROP THE FUEL TANK JUST TO TEST THE FUEL PUMP?

when you first turn key in ignition without cranking, can you hear a buzzing noise coming from fuel tank area? if not than fuel pump is not getting power..the wiring will be at the top of the fuel tank, where the fuel pump is.
