1972 Mercury Comet leaking transmission

1972 Mercury Comet V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 123000 miles
I have replaced the front seal on a c4 trans.the trans still leaks excessively from the inspection plate,I checked for cracks there are none the torque convertor looks ok no signs of wear at the seal point. are there any other seals that can be replaced or have i missed something

There is a front pump seal that goes around the outer part of the pump.When they leak it can be mistaken for the converter seal.Sounds like that may be it since you already did the converter seal
