This vehicle uses two types of clutch release systems. Turbocharged vehicles with type G transaxles use a mechanical cable system. Non-turbocharged vehicles with type F2 transaxles use a hydraulic clutch system.

1.Disconnect hydraulic line from slave cylinder and plug to prevent fluid loss.
2.Remove two retaining bolts, then slave cylinder.
3.Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a.Torque retaining bolts to 12-16 ft lbs .
b.Fill reservoir and bleed clutch system.
