Hello, I have a 2000 model Mercedes S500 and it runs on petrol and gas. Recently I noticed a problem with my car. When I drive on petrol, I notice a loss of power. I press the gas peddle but it seems like the car hesitates to move especially from standstill. However, when I drive on gas I have no problems whatsoever and the car performs well.

At first I thought it might be a gearbox problem or exhaust problem but the car drives perfect on Gas so it can't be these problems. I suspect it might be the fuel filter that's clogged up and not letting through enough petrol to the engine but I may be wrong. Please can you advise on what the problem could be. Thank you.
