Suspension problem

would like your opinion about what caused the drivers side air suspension to "give out" after I replaced all tires and brake pads--have been told by mbusa to "reset" the ESP which worked initially but then failed...The MB techs say take it to the stealership and have the relay and pump, etc.etc. replaced...but Ive had other "less invasive" suggestions from independant MB repair specialists....Have no px donating to a worthy "cause"...let me know if its worthy...
