1992 Mercedes 300 CE cabriolet- german made.
shipped summer of 2007 when I moved from Germany back to canada. (car always garaged for winter). Maintain in excellent condition.

1. Has developed large leak of AT fluid(red) since shipped back from Germany Aug 2007. AT filter & gasket were replaced only 2 months prior to shipping vechicle back to canada. AT fluid had to be topped up (6 liters!) this spring.

2. separate question -Would you recommend soft top hydraulics system to be looked /topped up as part of routine maintenance-I don't think this has ever been done on this car.

3. Would you recommend refill of Rear differential oil level .

In Germany I asked German mercedes dealer mechanics to look at these 2 items & they recomended not to mess with those 2 components.
