This car will idle just fine but when you try to hit the gas to accelerate the car sputters and dies. If anyone knows anything about this problem it would be greatly appreciated.

I will need to know model, engine size & EFI or carby. With out this information I can't help you.

H I there,

replace the fuel filter at the pump, check pump pressure, do normal tune up items as well, start there.
