Traces of oil in the water coolant

2000 Mercedes Benz ML430 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 109000 miles
Hi my name is Conor and contacting you from Ireland.
As you see I have an Automatic Mercedes ML 430 (yr2000) 2 cylinder heads with 109k on the clock.
Some time back I had to change the Water Coolant Bottle due to age. Then I noticed a discoloration in the new water bottle, I was told that it was a film of oil. The bottle was washed out and refitted however the film of oil returned.
I brought the car to a local main ford dealer and they replaced the oil cooler (high up on front of engine) to eliminate any internal leaks within the cooler, however the oil film returned.
My question now is do I have a head gasket / cylinder problem.
