As soon as I start the car, the engine now races at @ 3800RPM until I tap on the brakes. At that point it goes down to it's normal RPM of @ 750. This occurs in all gear selections, including park and neutral...so as long as I am slowing down or have a very slight amount of pressure on the brake, everything is fine. As soon as my foot comes off the brake, the engine races and the car acts as though the throttle is stuck or cruise is acting on it's own. I suspect it is a sensor or some electronic control system because of the effect the brake pedal switch has. hAve you seen this before? Any ideas?
