2005 Mercedes Benz CLK320 rear headrest problem

2005 Mercedes Benz CLK320 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 55000 miles
My husband got drunk brought my car home with the top down and the rear headrests up. When I tried to put the top back up I receive a warning indicator to release the rear headrests (pushing the release button will not put them down) Any suggestions?
