Engine Mechanical problem
1989 Mercedes Benz 560sl V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 62000k miles

We bought a 1989 560sl from the mercedes dealer, and almost immediately had a problem with a clicking noise coming from the passenger side, idle climbing when in neutral or park, sometimes check engine light comes on when it clicks, sometimes rpm drops like crazy when decelerating or at a stop, and sometimes it stalls. Dealer has replaced overvoltage relay and slide valve, took it for a drive, and it stalled on them - hooray! now they don't think we are nuts. I read a post about problems with the analog board and cracked solders, but appreciate any help, because I want the car back - we love it!
