1983 Mercedes Benz 320sl V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic
i have a 83 mercedes 380 sl. i've never been able to level out the transmission fluid level on the dip stick. i recently replaced the filter and pan gasket and added 6 quarts of fluid ( the owners manual says the capicity is 8 quarts). when warm the dip stick reads about 3 times too high. this is the original dip stick ( i checked that first). after driving after the filter and gasket change the pan gasket began leaking as if there was too much fluid or pressure. what am i doing wrong?
