Just bought this car and had it checked out by a mechanic who reports that it needs the suspension replaced (new mounts, support struts, joints, bushing, idler arms, rod ends, etc.) The mechanic quoted me a price of around $500 for parts and $1000 for labor (22 hours.) This mechanic is a friend of a friend, but when I contacted the car's previous owner, he told me the repair cost was astronomically high. What is your opinion?
