1992 Mercedes Benz 300e Two Wheel Drive Automatic
after having my waterpump replaced (within 24 hours), I noticed a loud squeal from the engine compartment. It seems as if the belt is excessively loose (more than 1 inch play). I have tried tightening the belt tensioner using a wrench but it doesnt seem to make any difference. It was working fine before the repair. As I have already invested too much in this car, how can I fix this problem with min outlay. No idea how to replace the tensioner,, after my attempt to replace the waterpump which was a very difficult job that I left to the professionals. Iam not too clutzy but need to know where to start. CanI use a used tensioner?
