1990 Mercedes Benz 300e Serpentine Belt Change
Noises problem
1990 Mercedes Benz 300e 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 170000 miles
I have a 1990 Mercedes Benz 300e 2.6L 6cyl and would like to change the serpentine belt myself. I know i have to remove the fan shroud to get to the belt tensioner, but the maint. book says i have to have a special tool to hold the fan so i can remove the fan from the clutch?? Is there any way around this as this tool costs $50 from the Mercedes Dealer.
