Air Conditioning problem
1988 Mercedes Benz 300e 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Hi, I have a 300e benz and the problem with this car is that the auxiliary fan comes on and stays on when i put on the a/c. i have check the temp unit, coolant unit, relays, when only the C relay is removed the the fan stop completely, i noticed a ceramic resistor close to the A/C drier with a crack. wondering if this has anything to do with this circuit. if not . how do i fix this problem.
