Engine Performance problem
1986 Mercedes Benz 300e 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 133,00 miles

I'm having difficulty starting the car. It'll turnover but not catch. Sometimes it can take 5 minutes of constant attempts before it actually starts and then the idle is rough and sometimes shuts off. Under acceleration, it initially has little power and there is "popping." Once it gets underway, the engine is smooth but recently it shuts down at idle.

I'd also like to know where I can get a diagram of the fuel system.
