2005 Mercedes Benz 240d Door Malfunction

My drivers door will only close if I use the key to lock it from the outside, although if I press the key alarm the other 3 doors will lock. When driving the "door open" ignites on my dashboard - showing the left drivers door open. However, the door is actually locked. What should I do

The reason the door will not lock is because the vehicle thinks it is open, "door open ignites on my dashboard - showing the left drivers door open" therefore causing the door actuator to malfunction the only thing I can think of that's causing the problem is the little button in the door that depress when you close the door is malfunctioning check that switch make sure it's good
