2003 Mercedes Benz 240d 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 113000 miles
I noticed that when my car is sitting still in park my engine tempature which usually stays at 82 degrees celcius raises up to the mid 90's but goes back down when driving. What would cause this ? Is that normal in the cooler months?

does the electric fan turn on when it is idling and gets hot?
