1986 Mazda Truck smokes

1986 Mazda Truck 4 cyl Manual 130000 miles
When I start my truck it smokes for about 5 minutes then it stops. Theres also an unusual amout of oil build-up on lower engine block. Is there anything short of replacing gaskets of seals to stop the smoking?
