2005 Mazda RX8 Oil Pressure Guage

2005 Mazda RX8 105000 miles
The dealer just put a brand new motor in this vehicle about 6 weeks ago. so everything has been fine until this past weekend and although the oil levels are fine, the oil guage reads that there is no oil pressure. Im thinking this may be a bad sensor, if not, what else could it be?

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge if okay -could be the oil pressure switch if the wires to it is good.
