Radiator fluid following into the overflow

I have a 1988 Mazda RX-7 with 40,000 mileage and a20B 1.3 liter engine. I'll fill the radiator and it will be finr all day while running. When I let the car sit after being off for a while the radiator fluid flows into the overflow when started again.

Try testing your radiator cap. Radiator caps are made to open and allow coolant in and out of overflow as needed. If the seal on that fails the coolant will flow directy into the overflow when the cooling system is pressurized. A new cap is inexpensive and worth a try.
