I have a 2002 Mazada Protege LX with about 75k miles. 4 cylendar. I just had my oil pan replaced after 2 months of it sitting around. When I got my car back it was hard to shift and when I was idle at a stop light the engine would pelpatate. When I restarted it after getting back in it took a little bit to start. I called the mechanic as soon as I got home and he said that because it sat for 2 months it needs to be driven. So I took it out for a drive and I noticed that the check engine light came on. Once I got it home, I noticed that the pelpatations didn't happen and when I shut it off and then turned it back on, it started with no hesitation. However that light is still on. What is wrong???
