Car would not start

After I remove my 1995 madaza lantis familia 1500cc(300000km) gear shift handle and replace it the car would not start. Does it have anything to do with the HOLD switch

If its running before you replace the gear shift handle-backtrack your work-you probably disconnected a wire harness or something that involves the starting circuit. The hold has nothing to do to prevent it from starting.
