I have a 1997 Mazda protege with 150,000 miles on it and when i have the belt for the a/c & power steering on at the same time as the alternator /water pump belt the alternator /water pump belt comes off..Has anyone ever had this problem.I have been driving it with only the alternator belt on it and it has stayed on but summer is coming and driving w/o power steering I am gonna end up with arms like a man ;) Thanks for your help!

you may want to have your belt tensioner pulley and any idler pulleys checked for excessive wear which would cause the belts to pop off.
