My 95 Mazda Protege after it warms up hesitates to go when I step on the gas. I push the gas pedal and it does not accelerate. The engine doesn't rev it just doesn't move and then it will catch. It acts as if it is not getting gas but I had it looked at and it doesn't seem to be a fuel problem. Any idea what it might be?

Has the check engine light come on? Did they actually check fuel pump pressure?

No check engine light. Not sure if they checked the pressure or not.

Since the check engine light isn't on, I would have the fuel pressure tested. Here is a how to for checking it:

You will need a gauge to check it. Most parts stores will lend or rent one.

Let me know what you find.
