Long story short, foggy morning Monday and dog was allready dead in road. I didn't see the dog until to late, and ran over the dog busting the front passanger axle. I have replaced the axle, but the engine isn't running like it was before. When gas is given to the engine, it humms like usual and "chokes" and dies. When driven, doesn't act like it's getting any gas/juice and won't go over 10mph. Also, the fan keeps running, and act like it's getting hot.

Could it be vaccum hose? If so, where is that located.

Thanks,
Randy

Get the fuel pressure and exhaust system checked out and anything you've tried then report back. You have multiple problems could be a bear to fix.

Some thing had to of got loose so look for any hoses that came loose. Try a compression check. I had to replace a exhaust vavle that burned and i had lost so much power and gas and oil mixing together that could be it.

I don't know if I am doing this right, but wanted to let you all know what was wrong with the 1993 Mazda Protoge that "bogged" down when given gas and would only go about 10MPH if that.

I pulled my husband in my truck (the scariest thing I have ever done) and put the mazda in the shop. Never know what you are going to get, kinda at the mercy of the mechanic on duty, hoping he won't take advantage of you and charge you out the rear...but he was really fast and nice.

It was the (I can not spell this right) Catilatic Convertor. I didn't know a little 4 cyl had them. He said that the dog did NOT do this because it was so clogged with "crap" they had to clean it out and replace it. So, $260.00 (not including the $75.00 spent on the axle) she's on the road again.

Go figure....I knew it was going to be expensive. Thanks guys for all your advice, how nice of you. I appreciate it. I am sure I will be back on here, because my truck isn't acting right. That's another story...she will run, but not a lot of power.

Thanks everyone! Good luck to all!
