1995 Mazda Other Repair Question

95 MAZDA 626 LX- a/c issues
I bought a (run down) 626 and the a/c is out in it. I can get heat but only at my feet. I'm not sure if it is the a/c compressor. It seems like that is works when I turn it on but it is not coming out any vents. Any ideas?
