I purchased my Mazda 3 new. I had trouble starting the car with one turn of the key. After replacing the battery, I had it looked at and they told me I need a new fuel pump- $500.00 and approx. 300.00 in labor. I am sick because I feel it is a newer car. What could have caused the fuel pump to need replacing? Do I have any course of action with the car only having 44,000 miles on it? Would trading it in be a smarter choice? Any advice would be appreciated.
