I had a slipping clutch which was slowly getting worse and I go to school at a tech school where we are aloud to work on our cars. I brought mine in and replaced a strut mount but while I was there we decided to bleed my clutch because it was soft and thought it might help make my clutch last but after that its been so bad I can bearly drive. It feels like the clutch isnt engaging completly even the the pedal is stiff. And all the way out. Occasionally it will get stuck at about half way out and then if I pull the pedal out farther with my foot the clutch grabs fully but if I leave it at half way it feels like it did. Less then engaged. I ordered a new clutch kit because watever the problem is its beating the heck out of my already going clutch but wat can I do to fix it? I dont think we screwed anythin bleeding it. Wat is there to mess up? It has a shared resovouir with the brakes and it stays topped off and hasnt changed so im not expecting a leak. Thanx

edit: if it is the internal seal wat do I hav to do to repair it? Replace the slave cyl? Tryin to save money and my new clutch is here but I havnt got to installing yet because I want to figure this out. There is also an annoying squiking noise throughout the clutch depression if I push it slowly, almost a squishing or crunching. Thanx

Hi there,

I would be checking the master & slave cyl for an internal seal fault, you may have damaged a seal do this be for replacing an expensive clutch first, just in case.
